Janus profits halve after regulatory settlement

Janus Capital Group, the US fund manager, felt the fallout of its settlement with US state and federal regulators over allegations of improper trading earlier this year as profits more than halved in the third quarter.

The group recorded net income of $51.3m (€40.6m) for the three months to September 30 against $130.2m in the prior quarter.
