Janus turns one of its faces to Europe

Janus Capital Group, the Denver-based mutual fund company, is turning to Europe in its attempts to rehabilitate the business as it recovers from last year's $226m (€185m) settlement over improper trading allegations with US federal regulators.

In the final quarter of this year, Intech, Janus' quantitative investment arm, will launch a global equity product aimed primarily at Europe. It follows recent moves by Janus to promote its global equity funds to non-US clients.
