Chief executive of Amazon Jeff Bezos is stepping down to become executive chair and is set to transition to his new role in the third quarter of the year.

In a 2 February press release, the online retail behemoth said that Bezos will hand the reins over to Andy Jassy, the CEO of the company’s cloud computing services.
