President Donald Trump's administration will enact "fundamental change" to financial regulation in the US even if Congress is unable to fulfill his pledge to "dismantle" the Dodd-Frank Act, the chairman and chief executive of Intercontinental Exchange has said.
Jeff Sprecher told the audience at a commodity markets conference in Florida on January 30: “I think you could have a fundamental change of attitude at the regulator level as a result of the president’s appointees and the people that go in, and it may have nothing to do with what happens in Congress.”
