Jefferies chairman and chief executive Richard Handler has given staff at the investment bank a checklist of things to bring back to work with them as they return after the summer break – as well as a bag to keep them in.

Handler and Brian Friedman, chairman of Jefferies' executive committee, have published a letter to staff on the firm’s website titled Summer Is Over....Time To Pack Up Our New Jefferies Duffel Bags And Get Back To Work!
