Helix Associates, the private equity fund placement arm of mid-market investment bank Jefferies, has hired a former JP Morgan executive for market research and analysis. Last month, Helix recruited Clive Norton, one of the top private equity specialists at Goldman Sachs' European asset management arm.

Karen Christofferson will handle private equity market research and analysis, in addition to fund level due diligence within North America. She will be based in New York, and work with managing directors Mark Hallock, Phil Kemp, and Wanda Felton. Felton was recruited last November.
