Mark Newberry has left Lazard Brothers after 17 years to join Jefferies International, the London-based subsidiary of US middle market investment bank Jefferies Group, as a manager in its securities lending business.

Newberry will be responsible for developing Jefferies' European securities lending business, building on the firm's successful US operation and its presence in the US and international equity and convertible bond markets.
