Jefferies hires Morgan Stanley’s Johannes Kirchmeir to bolster European equities unit

The US investment bank now has 40 sales and trading staff on the continent

Jefferies has hired a senior equity professional in Frankfurt, as large investment banks increasingly bolster their trading floors on the continent in the wake of Brexit.

The US investment bank has named Johannes Kirchmeir as head of equity execution services for continental Europe, it said in a statement. He will be based in Frankfurt and joins after eight years at Morgan Stanley.
