Jefferies has hired Naomi Kumagai, Makarim Salman and Masahiro Wakasugi as senior equity research analysts based in Tokyo. Kumagai will cover the healthcare sector and joins from Macquarie Capital Securities where she was a senior equity research analyst covering healthcare and pharmaceutical companies; Salman will cover the financial services and insurance sectors and also joins from Macquarie where he worked in a similar role; and Wakasugi, who joins from AllianceBernstein where he was most recently a senior vice president and equity research analyst, will cover the technology sector.
