UK investment bank chief departs Jefferies after hiring spree

Jonathan Wilcox’s role seemed untenable following the recruitment of a new UK chief last August

The head of UK investment banking at Jefferies is leaving, months after the arrival of a team of dealmakers from HSBC to focus on bolstering its business in the country.

Jonathan Wilcox, who was recruited by Jefferies to lead its UK investment banking division in June 2015, has resigned, according to people familiar with the move.
