Former Barclays chief executive Jes Staley has failed to overturn the Financial Conduct Authority’s decision to ban him from senior City jobs, after a high-profile court battle over whether he misled the regulator about his ties to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Upper Tribunal judge Tim Herrington sided with the FCA and ruled that Staley did not fully disclose to Barclays the nature of his relationship with the American financier.
