John Hogan returns to JP Morgan as chairman of risk

Hogan returns to the US bank after a four-month leave of absence

JP Morgan named John Hogan chairman of risk as he returns to the bank after a four-month leave of absence, according to a memo to employees that also noted Hogan may leave the firm.

Jamie Dimon, the bank's chairman and chief executive, told employees in the Thursday memo that Hogan, previously chief risk officer at the nation's largest bank by assets, will return on Monday to the newly-created position.
