John Richards, former head of investment for UK equities at Mercury Asset Management, has staged a comeback by becoming a product director at Invesco Perpetual.

Richards will take responsibility for communicating Invesco Perpetual's UK equities skills internally and externally. He will work alongside Hilary Cook, another UK equities product director who was a director of investment strategy at Barclays' wealth division before joining Invesco in 2011.
