John St John has become the latest banker to return to the fold to develop the equity capital markets (ECM) business at Commerzbank Securities after an interlude at EO, the online initial public offering platform that is facing closure.

He will be co-global head of ECM product at the German bank with Jochen Grossmann, co-global head of capital markets and advisory. Commerzbank was ranked 43 in the league table of bookrunners of European stock offerings in the first half of this year, according to Dealogic. The bank ran two deals raising €37.2m ($36.2m).
