John Thain biography

John Thain’s decision to step down from his role at the combined Bank of America Merrill Lynch comes barely a year after the former college wrestler succeeded Stan O’Neal at the helm of Merrill Lynch.

Thain resigned from his role as president of global banking, securities & wealth management at the combined bank today, having been named as chairman and chief executive at Merrill Lynch in December 2007.
