JP Morgan has hired a Credit Suisse banker to replace recently promoted Christian Berchem as head of its equity sales business for Germany and Austria.

Dirk Ley, 38, joins JP Morgan from Credit Suisse in Germany where he had been responsible for distribution as head of equities since 2001.
