JP Morgan has filed a $2.1bn (€2.3bn) lawsuit against Enron, the bankrupt US energy group, in an attempt to wrest control of assets owed by one of Enron's financing vehicles.
In a the lawsuit, filed on Tuesday in the South District of New York's bankruptcy court, JP Morgan said that it and other third parties have the right to take hold of assets held in a financing subsidiary called Sequoia, a special vehicle set up by Enron.
