JP Morgan hires ex-SEC enforcer

JP Morgan has recruited a former Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement chief who led a crackdown against illegal initial public offering allocation practices on Wall Street, as its general counsel.

Stephen Cutler replaces Joan Guggenheimer, who passed away from cancer in July. He formerly co-chaired the securities department at law firm WilmerHale.
