JP Morgan hires Polish ex-finance minister as adviser

JP Morgan has recruited Professor Marek Belka, the former Polish finance minister, as a senior adviser for its business in central and eastern Europe.

Professor Belka, who has also served as deputy prime minister and economic adviser to the president of Poland, shocked the markets when he resigned in July after a dispute with Leszek Miller, the country's prime minister, over the budget.
