JP Morgan is in exclusive talks with Royal Bank of Scotland to buy RBS Sempra Commodities, a joint venture with US firm Sempra Energy, a person familiar with the situation told Dow Jones Newswires on Wednesday.

RBS selected JP Morgan from a shortlist of three bidders over the last few days, the person said. The other bids were submitted by Deutsche Bank and Australia's Macquarie Group, people have previously said.
