JP Morgan has named a new head of its UK investment banking team covering natural resources - a sector in which the bank has generated more fees than any of its rivals this year.

Jamie Riddell, an executive director on the natural resources team, will take the reins from Ben Davies, according to an internal memo from UK investment banking co-heads Ina De and Ed Byers. A spokeswoman for the bank confirmed the contents of the memo.
