JP Morgan resets the bar on Wall St – but at what cost?

Two years after Financial News put a curse on JP Morgan by suggesting it was “probably the best investment bank in the world”, it seems to be holding up pretty well.

When it kicked off the Wall Street reporting season last week, it defied concerns over a slowdown to post its second most profitable quarter to date and blew its return on equity target out of the water.
