Carlos Hernandez, global head of equity capital and derivatives markets (ECDM) at JP Morgan, has been appointed to run North American equities following a strategic management reshuffle of the bank's global institutional equities franchise.

Hernandez was head of global equity capital markets at JP Morgan until being appointed to run the global ECDM team last April when the bank merged its equity capital markets and equity-linked businesses.
