JP Morgan suffers setback in China

JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management's efforts to enter the lucrative Chinese market have suffered a setback following the breakdown of its relationship with a leading domestic fund manager.

The company confirmed that its negotiations with Hua'an Fund Management, a top-performing fund manager, have been put on hold. It refused to give any further details, but said it was still interested in pursuing asset management business in the region.
