JP Morgan's Ravery rises to vice-chairman

JP Morgan has appointed Pascal Ravery, co-head of French investment banking, as a vice-chairman in its European investment banking business.

Ravery, who joined JP Morgan from Goldman Sachs in 1992, has worked on some of the bank's biggest M&A deals in France. Among his most recent mandates is an advisory role for French utility Suez on its planned merger with fellow utility Gaz de France.
