JPMorgan Asset Management names new CEO in Europe

JPMorgan Asset Management has named a new head of its roughly €300bn European division on the eve of sweeping changes to the way investment firms do business in the region.

The bank-owned fund manager has appointed Patrick Thomson as head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to an internal memo. He replaces long-time CEO Mike O’Brien, who is relocating to New York.
