JPMorgan chief executive Jamie Dimon has called on employees to show "patience and fortitude" amid ongoing uncertainty around the fiercely fought US presidential election.

The outspoken boss of the US bank said staff "must have faith in our electoral and judicial systems" as the result of the election will probably be drawn out for days. President Trump falsely claimed victory in the early hours of this morning.
