JPMorgan promoted 320 people to the coveted rank of managing director — matching the numbers from 2019 despite delaying the process by over a month because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The US bank promoted a record number of women — and millennials — in the latest round of promotions, which were announced in early July. The usual cycle of promotions at JPMorgan is in late April, but the current crisis has upended recruitment across the banking sector.
