JPMorgan has kicked off a new team of dealmakers focused on providing specialist funding for public and private markets as investment banks take an increasingly collaborative approach to financing deals.

The new unit, called strategic financing solutions, will see bankers work across JPMorgan’s banking, markets and sales teams. It will focus on private solutions, infrastructure finance, strategic asset backed securities finance, merchant banking and direct lending, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News.
