JPMorgan offers to reimburse Hong Kong bankers’ quarantine costs

Hong Kong staff qualify for the cost of the city’s three-week quarantine from December 1 to 22 November

The move comes a week after the bank's chief executive Jamie Dimon skipped the mandatory quarantine to visit the city and thank the bank's 4,000 employees for their effort over the pandemic

JPMorgan has told Hong Kong staff it will pay up to $5,000 back in compensation for their quarantine stay when they return to the city if they want to visit loved ones from 1 December 2021 to 22 November 2022.

An internal memo staff, seen by the South China Morning Post, sets out the new policy for a single quarantine stay for personal trips for Hong Kong-based directors and lower-level staff.
