JPMorgan has reached a settlement with the US Virgin Islands and Jes Staley to draw a line under a long-running legal claim over its dealings with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The bank said in a statement that it has agreed to pay a total of $75m to the US Virgin Islands to settle the case, which has unveiled damaging details of JPMorgan's dealings with Epstein.
