JPMorgan has banned the sale of plastic items such as bottles, cups and food pots at the group’s UK offices, becoming the latest institution to try to cut waste.

The US bank, which gets through 7.5 million plastic food and drink containers every year across its 16,000-strong UK workforce, introduced the ban last month.
