JPMorgan has revealed plans to build a new global headquarters in New York, with chairman and chief executive Jamie Dimon claiming the move marks the US bank "recommitting" to the city.
The bank plans to build a 2.5 million square foot headquarters at its existing office site of 270 Park Avenue, according to a statement. The project will involve the bank buying development rights from surrounding landmarks to build a larger building, which will also house staff from other locations.
