JPMorgan Chase, which was yesterday named as a takeover suitor for Worldpay Group, has ruled itself out of the bidding for the £8.2bn FTSE 100-listed UK payments processing firm.
The US bank said in a statement today that it had been "at a very early stage" in weighing an offer in response to an invitation from Worldpay, but that "following preliminary considerations" it had decided not to make a bid.
