JP Morgan has rehired one of its most senior Russian dealmakers as the Wall Street bank bolsters its presence in the region ahead of an expected rise in flotations and mergers and acquisitions activity.
Yan Tavrovsky has been named head of investment banking for Russia and Ukraine and deputy chief executive for Russia at JP Morgan, according to a statement. Tavrovsky had been a senior banker with Morgan Stanley in Russia for five years, the last one as head of the investment banking business.
