JPMorgan will add 190 junior bankers to its ranks as part of a series of measures aimed at alleviating the workload of analysts and associates that has raised fresh concerns over stress and burnout.

The US banking giant has hired 90 junior bankers globally and has plans to add a further 100 to its ranks, according to a person familiar with the matter. Unlike peers, JPMorgan will not give special pay rises or bonuses for junior bankers that some have offered to stave off a growing mental health crisis among younger employees.
