Judge rejects rape case against Apollo Global co-founder Leon Black

Supreme Court Justice B Cohen said the claims of Guzel Ganieva were invalid, largely because of a non-disclosure agreement she signed with Black in 2015

In a statement, Leon Black said: 'From the very beginning, I’ve made clear that Ms Ganieva’s allegations against me were false and there was no basis for this suit'

A lawsuit accusing Apollo Global co-founder and former CEO, Leon Black of rape and defamation has been dismissed, ending a two-year legal battle.

In a 24 May ruling, Supreme Court Justice B Cohen said the claims of Guzel Ganieva were invalid, largely because of a non-disclosure agreement she signed with Black in 2015, which provided her with a $9.5m payment over six years, The Wall Street Journalreported.
