Judge's requests hold up Wall Street settlement

A US judge has again stalled signing off on the Wall Street settlement until banks clarify important details on the $1.4bn deal.

Judge William Pauley has asked banks for more information about investor losses in the technology downturn. Banks have to provide details of the stock purchases made by investors suing them. He also wants clarification on whether banks intend to seek compensation from their insurers or tax deductions for their fines.
