Swiss private bank Julius Baer has hired a new chief executive for its Dubai-based operations from larger rival UBS.

Peter Schaer starts as the new chief executive of Julius Baer in Dubai, succeeding Rolf Schaerer, who is stepping down. Schaerer will remain in Dubai in order to focus fully on his role as head for the Indian Subcontinent.
