Starting salaries for some junior dealmakers in Spain have crept up to London levels over the past year while analyst pay stagnates across the sector.

First-year analyst salaries at top investment banks in Spain topped out at €80,000 (£69,000) last year, according to figures provided to Financial News by iDeals, a virtual data room for banks, and networking website M&A Community.
