Ex-Swip manager to take over Gibbs fund at Jupiter

The renowned Philip Gibbs is to retire from Jupiter Asset Management at the end of October next year

Jupiter Asset Management has handed the reins of its £482 million Jupiter Absolute Return Fund – currently managed by the renowned Philip Gibbs – to a former investment director at Scottish Widows Investment Partners who was recently recognised for his performance across the strategy.

James Clunie will become manager of the absolute return fund on September 1, according to a statement from Jupiter Asset Management. He left Swip in April.
