Jupiter, the FTSE 250-listed UK asset manager, has announced asset management veteran Nichola Pease will join next year as non-executive chair.

As a result of the appointment, Pease's husband — the veteran hedge fund manager Crispin Odey — will not hold any short positions in Jupiter while she is on the board, according to a person familiar with the matter.
