KCG taps former Instinet chief

A former co-CEO of Instinet has joined KCG as a senior adviser to its global execution services business

KCG, the trading firm created through a $1.4 billion merger between Getco and Knight Capital, is to draw on the experience of one of Instinet's former chief executives to grow its client-facing businesses.

Anthony Abenante, who oversaw Instinet's US operations for five years, has joined KCG as a senior adviser to its global execution services business, according to a KCG statement.
