Keeping it in the family is good for business prospects

JP Morgan’s Kate Murphy says the future looks bright for family businesses

Kate Murphy, JP Morgan’s head of family business in London, believes the UK is set to see a rise in corporate angel activity in the near future.

She said: "Right now, wealthy investors are still worried about the risk of a double-dip recession. But there has been a slow return of confidence, following the Budget. I believe that six months out we shall see a significant rise in angel investment. The next few years should be good to family businesses."
