Standard Life Aberdeen has ditched its co-chief executive structure less than two years after it was put in place, giving Keith Skeoch sole charge of the £552bn asset manager.

The FTSE 100 investment group, created by the merger of Aberdeen Asset Management and Standard Life Investments in 2017, said its board “unanimously approved” to dissolve the co-chief executive arrangement with effect from March 13.
