The local authority was one of Neil Woodford's most loyal backers, with more than £200m invested in his now defunct flagship fund

Kent County Council, the only local government pension plan invested in Neil Woodford's flagship fund when it suspended four years ago, is “reasonably confident” it will receive compensation from a scheme set up for trapped investors.

Link Fund Solutions, the administrator responsible for oversight of the Woodford Equity Income fund, announced on 7 September that investors are in line to receive between £180m and £200m in redress during the first quarter of next year.
