Liz Truss enters office this week facing an unenviable array of major challenges. The nature of these problems are well established, with inflation driven by energy prices the lethal tip of a looming iceberg of other structural issues. We are yet to hear the finer detail about what the solutions might be — an immediate plan to help with energy prices is promised within a week.
