Key Asset Management, the London fund of hedge funds manager, has poached the core of the hedge fund team from io Investors, the UK multi-manager, to fill a recent gap left in its own business.

Io Investors, with $250m (€200m) of hedge fund assets under management, will lose its managing director Chris Jones, who will become chief investment officer at Key which runs $1bn of assets.
