A near-two decade Nomura veteran, who played a central role in the integration of thousands of staff from Lehman Brothers in the wake of its collapse, has retired from the Japanese bank.

David Benson joined Nomura in February 1997 and has been with the bank ever since, with the exception of a brief stint at London-listed hedge fund manager Man Group in 2008.
