KKR has appointed Diego Piacentini as a senior adviser to support its global technology, media and telecom investment activities.

His appointment follows a 30-year career spanning both the public and private sectors. This includes roles at Apple Emea and Amazon, where he served as senior vice president of its international consumer business for 16 years. Reporting directly to Jeff Bezos, he oversaw the launch and growth of Amazon’s e-commerce operations in Europe, Japan, China and India.
